Quarter Finals produces some real exciting ball

If you want to call them upsets so be it….as far as I am concerned all 8 teams yesterday were serious contenders.  The only team that I know of that did not fair well was my team–The Beginners-lol.  We just did NOT hit like we did all year.  The rest of the match ups were tightly contested.  So, congrats to those who have moved on!

The Semi Final match ups are as follows:

The Longshots @ Upper Darby’s home field

Double D’s @ TAC’s home field

2013 URSL PLAYOFFS SET & All Star Game results

The playoffs start this coming Sunday, August 11th at 9am.

STR @ Upper Darby’s home field

Longshots @ Delco’s home field

Double Ds @ The Movement — This series will be played on The Beginners Home Field

Beginners @ TAC’s home field

Congrats to the whole league for it was by far the most competitive season I have played in and this is my 13th straight season in the URSL.  Just about 75% of the teams played consistent competitive ball which keep the standings tight all season.

The All Star game was a success for it was highly competitve with tons of talent.  The City boys took game 1 in walk off fashion 6-5 and the boys from the Burbs took game two 9-7.  If only the ump got all calls right–lol–it would have been a perfect day.

Zerby ask for volunteers to assist in any way to help run the event in his absence.  Also, if someone could bring a GRILL with propane or charcoal; you will be reimbursed if need be…  And, lastly reach out to Zerby and let him know if you can help….texting is fine 215 715-1970

The 2013 URSL All Star game will be hosted at TAC’s field this Saturday @ 9am (August 3rd).

There will be a BBQ with refreshments.

Similar format to last year.  Each team will send 2 or 3 (no more) of their best players.  For the most part the teams will be divided up between the City teams vs Burbs teams.

Big John from STR has volunteered to coach the Burbs and the Helmet will assist him if need be…  I do not know who will be coaching the City boys….

As always have fun!!!!
