The tentative start date for the league will be the week following the 4th of July. We will run a hybrid summer/ fall season and play the full 12 week schedule.
The season kickoff will be Saturday 7/11 with a championship rematch of the 2019 season. Balls will be given out to teams, and there will be a final bat testing. Any bat not tested by this date will be deemed an illegal bat. Penalties for the use of an illegal bat can be found under section 13 of the league rules.
With the majority of the league splitting fields, I will need to redo the schedule. Once I have confirmation on who is playing where I will update the schedule and information on the website accordingly.
To proceed with the season, I will need confirmation that your field is ready to be played on. A copy of the permit, or an email from a parks and rec dept will suffice. The email for this is email@example.com . We can provide you with our social distancing policy via email if it is required. Once confirmation is received the season will start. All permits will need to be extended for the 12 week regular season and playoffs.With such a tight schedule there will be no room for rainouts. Any games canceled due to weather will not be made up at the end of the season. Playoffs will be determined on winning percentage. Any money paid for the Zerby Derby will be refunded by Niki.
