When the schedule was originally made Penn Foundation was still a team, when they dropped out the amount of teams dropped from 13 to 12. At that point the schedule was adjusted to gives teams that were playing Penn a bye, there was only 1 team that did not play penn foundation so they will not have a bye week.
With that being said, the playoffs will be determined by winning percentage. in the case that a team is tied in winning percentage well will go by a head to head, and run differential if need. Please make sure your scores are accurate when reporting them because it may be the difference between making the playoffs and going home early.
Lastly, it is the home teams responsibility to report scores
Due to conflicting activities on 4 teams fields the following changes will be made on the dates below.
On August 23rd: The Heavy Hitters and Independence Lodge will be moving to the Bensalem Ramblers Youth Organization complex at Hulmeville Rd. and Wildman Ave in Bensalem
On September 13: Silver Linings and Self Help will be losing their field, new location TBA.
The tentative start date for the league will be the week following the 4th of July. We will run a hybrid summer/ fall season and play the full 12 week schedule.
The season kickoff will be Saturday 7/11 with a championship rematch of the 2019 season. Balls will be given out to teams, and there will be a final bat testing. Any bat not tested by this date will be deemed an illegal bat. Penalties for the use of an illegal bat can be found under section 13 of the league rules.
With the majority of the league splitting fields, I will need to redo the schedule. Once I have confirmation on who is playing where I will update the schedule and information on the website accordingly.
To proceed with the season, I will need confirmation that your field is ready to be played on. A copy of the permit, or an email from a parks and rec dept will suffice. The email for this is firstname.lastname@example.org . We can provide you with our social distancing policy via email if it is required. Once confirmation is received the season will start. All permits will need to be extended for the 12 week regular season and playoffs.With such a tight schedule there will be no room for rainouts. Any games canceled due to weather will not be made up at the end of the season. Playoffs will be determined on winning percentage. IIf you have filed a permit with Philadelphia parks and recreation you can find a link for a refund on their website.
Any money paid for the Zerby Derby will be refunded by Niki.
